Yes, you can! I am a machine quilter and quilt for others. I use to do it on my home machines before I bought a longarm machine 8 years ago. If you do free motion quilting, you will need to have the capability to drop the feed dogs. Even then if you can't, you can still do it as long as they are covered up which you can do with masking tape. You will need a darning foot or a hopping foot. You can also just use a walking foot if you are just quilting in a straight line or ditch quilting. The one machine I would not machine quilt with would be a featherweight as they don't have a strong enough motor. If you have any other questions about machine quilting, just ask. My Gas Fireplace won't stay on!?

I'm not sure of the make and model of my gas fireplace, but it will not stay on more than 15 minutes. I light the pilot then turn the unit on after the pilot is lit. It will stay on and heat the room for about 15 minutes 20 min. max and then it goes off completely. I then have start the process all over again starting with relighting the pilot! She is a bit young, but non the less I went through menopause quickly ( I had to have a ER total hysterectomy). I woke up extremely hot, and I am not talking like the kind of heat you get from the sun either. You could have stood me on the polar caps and I wouldn't have felt the coldness. I was only 23 y o ( I am now 40 y o), and the dr. gave me estradiol because I was too young not too have it. If your mom is not experiencing that ( hot flashes) that doesn't mean she isn't because everything else is on schedule. She may need to go see the dr. just for a check up. My my mom had to go for a check up just to make sure that it was all going like it was supposed to . If she needs help, the dr. can help her out with some meds or tell her how to go natural. I have stopped taking my estradiol just recently because I had been on it for 17 years and I told the dr. I do not like having to worry about cancer ( I was only on 1 mg). So far I haven't noticed any thing bad. Good Luck with your mom. I will pray for you so that you can help your mom keep her sanity. It is a bit of a bumpy road, but after wards it will be back to normal ( whatever normal is HA,HA).

Question about babys eyes?

hi all I recently noticed something about my 7 weeks olds eyes that I hadnt noticed before. i know babys can be crosseyed at this age, but i dont think this is what she is. Say im holding her and she looks to her right to see me...well one eye is looking at me more then the other...the right eye is all the way over to the outside corner of her eye and i can only see the inside of her eye whites (confusing i know but i dont know how else to explain it) well the eye on the other side i can see both whites of her eyes whioch means that left eye doesnt really look over as much as the other one. also, when i put one of my fingers right in front of her face by her nose so she looks at it, (normally this would cause the baby to look crosseyed when she would look at my finger since it was so close to her face) however the right eye was turned all the way in, the left you could see the whties on both sides of her eyes. is this normal for babys? this is different from crosseyes she can focus but one eye appears to be slower then the other. has any one elses baby had this? i have an appointment for her in a few weeks at the eye doctor so then we will know for sure. it appears its a lazy eye though. it is of great importance for me to know, as I was d by a man with a lazy eye and am waiting for the dna results to come back to see if my boyfriend is the father. is it hereditary or could it just be a coincidence? i have read that it can be...some say not.

I'm having a lot of anxiety from my asthma causing it to get worse, what are some things I can do?

I got a virus a couple days ago and that turned into Bronchitis. I think the Bronchitis is triggering my asthma and I need a good way to get it to go away. Inhaler is not helping. Took a prednisone earlier and that helped a bit.. should I just take another one of those? Can't go to the hospital and already saw the doctor today.

For a little over a week now I've been so stuffed up! The thing is, it gets really bad at night and in the morning, but throughout the day not quite as bad, if at all. For awhile I thought it was allergies but the weather has turned cold, I can't imagine there is much in bloom now. Is this a sinus infection? I feel fine otherwise, occasionally have a slight sinus headache when I get congested but thats it. No sore throat, no fever, nothing. Whats wrong with me? Ok,so I'm going to ask again. How many of you pregnant women/mothers of already born children have gotten the swine flu vaccine,and what effects have you noticed/had from it? I ask because it's really really on my mind for my husband,daughter,and I to get it now,with an experience I had the other night with taking my daughter to the ER (found out she had strep,not swine flu thank GOD) and the fact that I have a 12 week old baby in the house. I know for myself, I couldn't feed because of the fact that she was so early and all the different medications I was on. I never seemed to produce milk either, I was trying to pump so I could try to feed after I got off meds. My son as also early, but having to be rushed into the operating room for emergency surgery after delivery put that on hold also. As before I just couldn't produced milk. My baby girl signs up to 10 words, speaks spanish words about 5 and talk in 3 word sentences, is she a genius?

She also sees sights as we drive down the road and recognizes where we are going and will say "auntie" or "Gampa". She can enunciate her p's t's k's l's almost clear as a bell. She sings this sentence in "twinkle twinkle little star". follows with "if your happy and you know it" The list goes on and on. She signs these words, girl, boy, mother, father, eat, more, please, thank you, She says airplane, light, water, father, kiss and yes in spanish and understands her father completely. The words she say in english are endless. She can say any word you ask her to at least right after you say it to her. Skipping the night time feeding?

My 11 week old son usually goes to bed at 8 pm and sleeps until 230. I feed and lay him back down with no problem. About 21/2 to 3 hours later he is back up crying. I have tried the patting and sushing, the pacifier (usually holds him for 30 extra min at a time). The only thing that seems to get him back to sleep is a bottle, and I know he can obviously go longer in between feedings. Sometimes he will take a full bottle and other times he will only take a little. Any one else with a similar problem? Need some tips to try and skip this feeding or is he just being an infant and this stage to will p?

I have a fever of 101.2, is it swine flu?

yesterday i started getting a minor cough, and i woke up this morning freezing cold with the shivers and my legs were extremely sore. my window was open, so i closed it and got an extra blanket. a couple hours later i was still feeling hot/cold, and my temperature is 101.2. my throat doesn't hurt, i dont have a stuffy nose and my cough has pretty much gone away but i still have a fever. when do i go to the doctor?

How long can a duck leave her nest without the eggs going bad?

I've got a runner duck sitting on a huge nest of 21 eggs (she had help from 2 rouens) and for 12 days has set on them with only a 20-30 minute break now and then. However last night, before 10 pm the other ducks were still on the newly thawed pond and she decided to join them. She didn't return for 3 hours. Are the eggs history? They're in a well made nest of straw and feathers, in a box in the garage. The outside temps last night were still in the high 50s (f). I'm having a hard time finding this kind of specific info on line. I would like to stop worrying one way or the other because I suspect she'll do this again tonight. This is her first attempt at brooding, she and the others are about 11 months old.

colon surgery. I do not have to worry about cancer now YIPEEEEEEEE. I am cancer free. But they must have bursted a vessel in my colon becasue when I go to the loo it is painfull and I have blood on the toilet paper and on top of the stool. Ugly popped pimple scab thing?

STOP TOUCHING IT AND PICKING AT IT. Tell your grandma to leave your face alone other wise it will scar. I know it can be embarring to have a scab, but for it it go away it needs to have oxygen and it can't it, if it is under a band aid, unfortunately. To prevent a scar buy some vitamin E cream and apply it twice a day. When I was 13 I had this huge, gnarly scab right on the bridge of my nose when my trash can lid fell on me. I applied vitamin e to it twice a day, everyday and it two weeks I had no scar! I pop pimples buy disinfecting a needle or safety pin with rubbing alcohol. I also put the rubbing alcohol on the pimple, I gently pop the pimple on the bottom of it and immediately put on rubbing alcohol. It can hurt, but since I have tried this method I have dramatically cut down on scarring from pimples! I also wash my face everyday with Acne Free face wash you can buy it at Target and Walmart, its really good stuff:)

I'd suggest getting a bunch of pictures together and take them to whichever tattoo artist you want to use. They might be able to find a way to put all of that together pretty easily. I know my artist does stuff like that all the time. Custom work is always the best way to go.

Problems with Baxi Boiler and interrupted Gas supply or flame fault?

You dont say what model your boiler is which may have helped as different models have slightly different operating systems but you do say its about 20 months old so has it been serviced in that time as if not it would support the idea of either a dirty electrode or possibly a dirty burner and the electrode is not in the flame properly so the boiler doesnt know its alight so it goes to lockout ie E133.

When I started drinking I paid less attention to my diet and how healthy i was eating. After a few months I gained 15 pounds. you should get a video card with HDMI out as that is the best type of connection for blu-ray hi-def. step up the video card and go to a 260 gtx. your ram is also only 800.if you want a good system you might as well step it up to 1333 or 1066 mhz. all else is good but i would reccomend getting a higher quality tuner. just my opinion. may i ask what tv you plan on running this on? and you can over clock your cpu to at least 3.6 if you water cool it. that case would be perfect for water cooling.i'd love to see how it turns out.and you dont need 8 gb of ram. 4 will do you just fine. you should also make sure you get vista 64 bit or xp 64 bit. just make sure its 64 bit. not 32.

oh my god kiddo.. you are WAY too young to be working out like that!!! you're gonna severely hurt yourself. my suggestion to you, run around the block for 5 minutes, to heat up your muscles, (drink water as needed to hydrate, remember, water needs replacing when you sweat it out) after your jog, go inside and do some stretches... for about 30 minutes. (yoga stretches are best) lift some 5lb dumb bells, from hips to shoulder height, from stomach to eye view, and from behind the back up as far as you can go, in reps of 10-15. if you want to work out on the home gym, do not workout 5-7 hours a day. over working will build muscle too fast, not make you lose weight. the best thing you could do is quick 5 minute jogs around the block, 2 times a day, and make sure you get enough protein, or your workout will be a complete waste, cause your muscles wont be able to grow, and you will just tire your body and be very weak. Protein is key, if you are worried about intake of calories, my suggestion to you is DO NOT count calories. you need them for working out. instead, keep your saturated fat under 18 grams, and your cholesterol under 100mgs. also, one egg.. is almost 300 mg's of cholesterol.. so avoiding egg YOLKS is best. stick to cereals, with low or nonfat milk, go buy some protein powder (look for one with amino acids, like EAS soy protein, vanilla flavored) eat a banana, to keep your potium levels good, and snack on a handful of almonds. minimize your meat intake. Eat all the fruits and veggies you want. they will only do you good. that is all i can say for right now, you should do great, uming you can follow all of that.

I have to disagree with the first person who answered. Renting a car in St. Martin/Maarten might prove frustrating because of the small size of the island and the number of cars on that island. You can spend so much time in backed up traffic that it could frustrate you. I don't find that the taxis are expensive at all and as for getting to the beach - you can eliminate that head ache by staying at a hotel that is on the beach. Plus once you get to the heart of the duty free shoping plaza's you wont need a car all of the stores line the two main streets. It's a nice little place but truly hot, so being on the beach will help. Anguilla is like a 25 minute ferry ride away, if you want to take a day trip. It's a lot less congested but doesn't have that much to do - but it's nice nonetheless.
